Ending up skipping some of high school or never officially completing their education in an actual school facility, these celebrities have spoken on missing out on that typical high school experience. Some say it was a sacrifice they happily made in order to launch their careers, while others are sad they missed out on some of the key moments other teenagers enjoy. Here is what they personally feel about missing out on those memorable school years.
Claire was schooled on set: “I started working when I was very young. I got an agent when I was 12 and fortunately was employed consistently from that point on. So I didn’t really go to a conventional high school. I was tutored on sets and things.”
Emma dropped out to follow her acting dreams and has no regrets: “I did Superbad in what would have been my senior year. I was playing a senior, and, had I graduated, I would’ve missed that opportunity, and had I missed that opportunity I wouldn’t be here right now.”
Keira dropped out aged 17 and says she is always keen to show people how smart she is now: “I am completely uneducated. Not going to university did give me an incredible driving force because it leaves you with a slight chip on your shoulder.”
